First Photo Post

I'm testing out posting photos, to make the blog look more colorful. Here's my first photo post:

Norway's Red Cross had staff on duty throughout the long Easter holiday, like here at their cabin in Sortlandsmarka. Photo from Aftenposten's series:

Lovely picture. But if you are looking for 'colorful', I suggest you post some of fjords in the summer.

Snow at Easter - now that's depressing. Nice photo though - and congratulations on the blog.

"Snow at Easter - now that's depressing."

We can still get snow in April. In norther Norway, even in July.

I'm in Canada (Toronto). Actually we had snow at Easter - I spent Easter in Montreal where there was a lot of snow. It's still depressing though. :-)

I've experienced cold having worked in northern Canada during the winter. BTW - this originally came as a surprise to me when I read that Ottawa is the second coldest capitol in the world - colder than Moscow, who would've guessed. The coldest is Mongolia's capitol in case you are wondering.
